Objectives
- Development of regulatory framework such as bylaws, SOPs, guidelines, compendium of laws for the strengthening of local government services.
- Capacity building of LG officials/officers and anticipated elected reps.
- Strengthening/institutionalization of Punjab Local Government Academy (PLGA) Lalamusa
Output
The capacities of local government administration and elected representatives for the delivery of municipal services, taking into account the needs of vulnerable groups, are improved.
Output indicator
70 % of the 600 local government officials of the partner local governments of Punjab i.e, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Toba Tek Singh & Lahore who participated in training demonstrated their expertise in implementing standard operating procedures or bylaws for municipal services that include quality standards, with 80% correct answers in post-training knowledge tests, of which 15% were female officials.
